CURRENT RESCUE

Panda Yaya and Lele are 2 giant pandas serving Memphis Zoo for 20 years.

It has been brought to our attention that they might be mistreated and in distress.

The Mistreatments Observed Are:

Insufficient bamboo

Malnourishment

Excessive Caging Time (10+hours)

Stereotypical Behavior

Distressed Mental Health

Skin Mite Disease

Dental Problems

PANDA YAYA

Yaya is 22 years old. As a senior panda, she has gone through several miscarriages, suffers from skin mite and extremely skinny. Encagement has brought on serious stereotypical behaviour.

PANDA LELE

Lele is 23 years old. While he is in a better shape than Yaya, he also suffers from parasitic conditions, dental problem and serious stereotypical behaviours.
